Our Mission
Dive Beneath the Surface aims to provide elementary school students with an unforgettable live SCUBA diving experience in their very own classrooms. Adhering to the Next Generation Science Standards, DBS provides a 4 lesson series that brings marine biology to life in a way that is unlike any other. Join the Cal Poly led team as they take your classroom on an aquatic adventure.
NGSS Lesson Plans
The Next Generation Science Standards are an extremely important aspect to all elementary school classrooms and in science education. DBS provides a lesson plan series that is aligned with these standards and serves as an entire NGSS unit.
Fourth Grade Curriculum

SCUBA Experience
Led by a team of Cal Poly students and faculty, this underwater experience will truly allow elementary school students to "dive beneath the surface." An interactive, 30 minute tour of waters around San Luis Obispo Co., CA highlighting the organisms featured throughout the lessons.
